How funny that I was just looking up all the artists in "The Best of Contemporary Beadwork" with "The New Beadwork" being the next book in my pile. Thank you for the list! Also, your work is so lovely!

I bought , The New Beadwork, for a friend because I knew she would love the beaded hats by Setsu Ueno. She was trying to find the patterns for them. I see where you couldn't find any information on this person. I was wondering if you knew where I could get similar patterns. Thank you, Patti.

I made some big changes in my life and am not currently selling pieces but am still doing beadwork. Beki Haley at Out on a Whim might know where some of the other "missing" beadwork artists are now. My blog is beadlizard.typepad. --Sylvia

Setsu now lives in New Jersey with her daughter and family. I will let her know that there is interest in her hats. She no longer makes them

We just saw two hats by Setsu Uneo. They were the most unique and wondrous items we have seen in years. Are there any more of these hats or patterns in existence?
